Coffee Packaging
The brief for this project was to create packaging for a product of my choice. Being an avid consumer of coffee it seemed to be a natural choice.
The project began with sketches of various types of packaging found around the house and in local supermarkets. This led to designing three different styles of box that could contain either coffee beans or grounds. These were designed in Affinity Designer 2 as vector images and exported for the project.
The final step was to create the final design for the packaging. The box style used is a cube with collar and lid. This design is intended to hold a bag with either beans or ground coffee. The design features the green and gold of Australia's national colours as well as colours representing the blue and red of our national flag as well as the reds and oranges of a South East Queensland sunset. The shapes represent the hills of the Gold Coast Hinterland, a coffee growing region in Australia.
